Session 1 Paddy Moore is currently an adviser to Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board - which is responsible for the market development and promotion of Irish Food products worldwide - and also to Meat Industry Ireland, the representative organisation for the beef, lamb and pork industries in Ireland. He was previously Chief Operations Officer, Bord Bia. |

Session 2 Guillaume Roué has been President of INAPORC - the French Interprofessional Pork Organisation - since 2002. He is Vice-President of the National Pork Federation, and President of PRESTOR, a pig producing cooperative. He is a member of the GAD pig processing group based in Finistère, where he runs a pig farm. |

Session 3 Professor Gregory is a hands-on scientist, and has been called on to help the meat and livestock industries with specific problems in a number of countries. Besides his work in Zimbabwe, he undertook a study for the British Council on sheep welfare in Turkey, and oversaw a project in Bangladesh on the importation of cattle and water buffalo from India. He has published over 300 scientific publications, and is editor of Outlook on Agriculture. |

Session 4 Geert Janssen, Adviser in International Affairs of the Executive Board of VION N.V., was one of the first to build up an European and International meat trading structure. After his studies of business administration Mr. Janssen joined the Dutch Pork Company Encebe/Coveco and opened offices in France, Italy, Greece, Spain and Portugal, becoming soon the Export Director. He spent almost 15 years abroad managing the trading offices. |

Session 5 Philip M. Seng oversees U.S. Meat Export Federation operations worldwide, providing direction for USMEF strategies and priorities in international programs, research, technical services, industry relations and global communications. |

Session 3 Wilfrid Legg is Head of the Policies and Environment Division in the OECD Trade and Agriculture Directorate, where he has worked since 1981. His main areas of expertise are in agricultural and environmental policy analysis; sustainable agriculture; and in measuring and evaluating agricultural policy developments, using the internationally recognised Producer Support Estimates that he helped develop. He was educated at the Universities of London, Leicester and Reading and was a Research Fellow in Sussex University prior to moving to the OECD. He is a member of the Board of EuroChoices magazine, which deals with agriculture, food and resource issues. In 2003-2004 he was President of the Agricultural Economics Society. |

Craig Morris Craig Morris serves as the Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service over the Agency's Livestock and Seed Program. He is responsible for the Agency's services provided to the livestock, meat, fish, grain, and seed industries. These services include commodity grading services, voluntary and mandatory market news reporting services, quality system verification programs, export verification programs, commodity purchases for Federal food and nutrition programs, research and promotion program oversight, and oversight of various other regulatory programs including the Country of Origin Labeling program, Sheep Industry Improvement Center, Wool Trust, and Federal Seed Act enforcement. |

Joel Haggard Mr. Haggard joined USMEF in 1988 as a regional marketing consultant and later became director of the USMEF-Hong Kong office when that office opened in 1989. Joel Haggard returned to the Asia-Pacific to serve as vice president-Asia Pacific for the U.S. Meat Export Federation in March 1994, after several years in the USMEF-Denver office. Stationed in the USMEF-Hong Kong office, Mr. Haggard oversees USMEF market development strategies and programs for U.S. red meat products in the region. |

Lars Hoelgaard Lars Hoelgaard is Deputy Director General in Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development in the European Commission since 2004. He is in charge of the Directorates C (Economics of agricultural markets and CMO) and D (Direct support, market measures, promotion). In EU jargon this is called Pillar I of the CAP with Rural Development being Pillar II. From 2002-2004 he was Director for Markets in livestock products, specialised crops and wine. From 1997 to 2002 he was Director for Markets in crop products. |
